chrisfarmerChristopher “Chris” Farmer (born June 10, 1961) is is an American singer, songwriter, and music producer. He is best known for being a vocalist and bass player for the touring Beach Boys band from 1995 to 2007. Farmer was their musical director and vocal arranger since 1999.In the 90’s, Farmer was musical director, bassist and vocalist for groups such as Jan & Dean and Rhino recording artists The Belair Bandits.Farmer was the featured vocalist in the acapella quartet “Double Date” that performed regularly at Universal Studios Hollywood in the 1990s. He also has vocal credits on a number of TV and film projects, including “Bay Watch Nights” and “The New Gidget”.During the 1980s, his projects included musical director/bassist/vocalist for actor & singer Jack Wagner, helping propel his hit recording “All I Need” to the number #2 spot on the Billboard charts. Other 80’s gigs included music supervisor and bassist for the “Legends of Doo-Wop” and “Cavalcade of Stars” shows, playing behind such greats as Sam Moore of Sam and Dave, David Ruffin of the Temptations, The Drifters, and many others from the 50’s and 60’s era.TV appearances over the years have included the daytime drama “General Hospital”, being part of the first TV show to feature a rock band, and the very successful “Full House”, featuring John Stamos.
